In May 1978, The Pilot House Restaurant was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wright Jr. as the first dining establishment in the newly restored historic Chandler’s Wharf.

The Wharf itself had been a bustling port for many decades of the 19th and early 20th Centuries. In those times, naval stores were an important commodity to the state of North Carolina.


Elijahs and The Pilot House are famous for our professional and friendly service. We can accommodate a range of different functions to meet the unique needs of every guest.  Events such as:

Brunches
Rehearsal Dinners

Bridal Luncheons
Birthday Parties
Holiday Functions

Other Special Events

Parties of 24 or less, please feel free to order off of our designated restaurant menus.

Parties of 25 or more are required to pick 4 to 5 selections from our restaurant menus in which to offer your guests (even if they pay separately).
